Social Studies focuses on a deeper understanding of concepts that enable students to think critically and systematically about local, regional, national, and global issues.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Now more than ever, we need to foster students who are not afraid to ask critical questions and look for answers backed by research, so they can make informed decisions about various issues. We want to raise responsible Filipinos that show respect for different perspectives and find ways how they can turn knowledge into action.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>We do it through our curriculum. Using inquiry, Grade 7 focuses on Philippine studies, Grade 8 on Asian studies, Grade 9 world studies, Grade 10 on the responses to the challenges of a sustainable world. Through discussions, videos, virtual field trips, resource speakers, student presentations, and reflections, students come up with their own questions, seek answers, and enable them to take charge of their learning journey.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p dir=\"ltr\">The end goal of the program is to foster students who are critical thinkers, inquirers, communicators, perspective takers, and who are advocates of social justice.
